I have the wonderful privilege of designing cowboy boots for Ariat International - a great company that has been growing like crazy since being founded in 1993 by Beth Cross. I am Design Director for Western Footwear - which means I work with an amazing team of Product Creation people (merchandisers, developers, engineers, etc…) to create several collections a year in men’s, women’s, and youth western footwear (performance, fashion, casual).

One of the great pleasures of my job is working with suppliers across the world to make new materials - mostly leather - to use in Ariat products. On this site are a few examples of these free-wheeling explorations - some focused specifically for use in western boots, some just made for the sake of pursuing an idea!
